Hey guys. So i bought my presonus firestudio mobile 8 days ago and cannot get it to work. I submitted a ticket for help 8 days ago and it still hasn't been assigned to any representative. I've been on hold with them for over an hour with no one answering the phone. The place I bought it from won't let me return it because the cardboard the cd came in is ripped. So here is what i have tried. I tried a different firewire cable. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling with the drivers off the website. I bought a brand new firewire port by startek which was approved by the website. It still won't initiate when try to start it up using studio one. I have an 8 gig i7 3.6 GHz processor. I'm running windows 7 64 bit. I bought this computer with the intent to start recording and producing but this has given me a large head ache. I just don't get why after an entire week my ticket hasn't even been assigned and when I call them on the phone they just keep me on hold for hours.

If you have a tech support request number you'd be willing to share I can try to get it unjammed for you. Also, to try to hel the process in the meantime, did you switch to the legacy driver in device manager for your firewire? Win 7 has a bit of a problem in that regard. also, if you go to the first thread in PreSales questions I have compiled many ways to provide self help. They might be of use. 99% of the time the problem is with Windows. We just have to figure out where.

Hi bobbho, I'd like to try to help. If you have a tech support ticket number I can make some calls for you and see if I can get it rolling. It's frightening how many requests tech support get in a week and there aren't a lot of people in there. Presonus will make it work if you're up to giving them one last chance.

Thank you for the interest, I did not get any numbers while on hold and it is two days since I called and left a message. No one has called back. I do agree they are really busy it is so bad there music recording is worn out it is like you are in a bad dream it cuts on and off on and off goes silent for long periods of time then comes in and out and fades away it makes the hour wait excrusiating. While I appreciate the offer of help what all this tells me is there are alot of people with the same problem. I have very little patients and time. I expected it to work right out of the box. Thanks again.

I understand your frustration, I really do. I agree that we expect things to work right out of the box but in today's computer world that often isn't the case. Believe me on that one. With that said I'd like to offer my assistance to at least figure out the problem. We might even be able to get it working. Let me know.

| This post is not pointed at anyone in particular, but is intended to help. Everyone....Take a few DEEP BREATHES and relax and realize no one is trying to rip anyone off, that there is HELP HERE and if you can relax enough to help others help you, it will all work out fine! The place to begin in ANY hardware or software configuration, is with the specifications of the system you are working with. (See my Signature for Example). If your hardware is up to spec and is compatible with your new hardware, then it is just a matter of working through things to figure out the best course of action. Mono is the BEST in getting things sorted out and can help you if you just follow through with answers to his questions. (For example) I see the original poster has yet to provide his tech support ticket number....which causes me to wonder if he ever had one. Anyway, the key here is to provide as much information as possible to help others help you.....I would recommend HIGHLY that you include the information in your signature....That way, you don't ever have to retype it again.
